
Praneil Kumar
Principal Security Researcher – BAE Systems Digital Intelligence.
Praneil is a career IT professional with over 20 years’ of experience. He commenced his career during the infamous ‘Y2K’ bug and has since specialised across multiple domains and sectors including telecommunications, manufacturing, non-for profit, university, defence and government.
His passion, curiosity and eagerness to tinker with technology from a young age has lead him to his current focus at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, where he works with likeminded team of researchers focusing on understanding technology and finding interesting bugs.
Praneil holds multiple industry certifications along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, majoring in Software and Web Engineering from the University of Western Sydney. He is currently studying his Masters in Cyber Security – Advanced Tradecraft at the University of New South Wales, ADFA. Outside of work, he enjoys being a nerd and when you don’t find him looking at debuggers, he spends his time across physical fitness and training.
